The farm

The Scarpati – Rocchi farm has been a family activity since 1948. In 1990 Maurizio Pio Rocchi started organic agriculture and since 2005 over 17,000 vines and trees have been planted to make up the vineyards and olive groves in the grounds which surround the family home.

In 1998 Maurizio Pio married Petra de Goede and together the two artists began restoration and transformation of the older buildings and stables into the "Arcipelago di Arte et Agricoltura" which since 2007 has been providing a unique Bed & Breakfast experience to visiting tourists.

The farmhouse and its rooms are decorated with contemporary art and are located 5 km from the historical centre of Tuscania, an important medieval town situated in the province of Viterbo, 90 minutes from Rome and 30 minutes from the Mediterranean sea.
Languages spoken include: Italian, English and Dutch.
